Elevators
Type G Elevators
G series elevators are bored to suit the contour of 18 degree drill pipe. They are constructed in two halves of practically the same weight, making them easy to handle and latch on/off the pipe. In the open position, these elevators hang ready for closing at any point below the upset part of the pipe. Safety features include guarded operating handles and an extra handle at the rear of the elevator for easier, safer operation.
Centre Latch Elevators
Centre latch elevators are used handling drill collars, casing and tubing. All A type elevators are constructed in two halves of practically the same weight providing accurate balance and easier opening/closing. In the open position, the elevator hangs ready to close at any point below the upset of the pipe. All A type elevators feature latch and safety lock combinations. Guarded safety handles and an extra handle at the rear help prevent accidents and give safer operation.
Side Door Type Elevators X Series
The X series elevators handle all sizes of drill collars, casing and tubing. The SLX has a shield mounted on the elevator which protects the latch from accidental opening. Both latches operate from a single handle and automatically re-latch when the elevator door is closed. The SX type elevator is a sturdier, safety latched version of the X series which is used for larger casing.
SJL and SPL Type Series Elevators
Single joint elevators are designed to lift drill pipe, tubing and casing into position. The SJL reduces the risk of accidents and damage to threads. The SPL type elevator is similar to the SJL but is designed to lift components with a tapered tool joint.
SJX Series Elevators
The SJX series elevator is designed for transferring joints of tubing and casing to the rotary table. It is double hinged to assist in any type of stabberless operation. The hinge pins are contained within the bodies and the handles are designed with stop pins to prevent the risk of lifting sling shackles pinching fingers or hands.
MYT Slip Type Tubing Elevators
The MYT type elevator is a light-weight elevator and handles all tubing within its range with one set of slips plus reducing inserts. The MYT contains four curved slip assemblies which form a perfect circle around the tubing, assuring uniform grip with minimum marking damage.
YC Type Casing Elevator
The YC elevator is used for upset tubing and casing. It uses slip type inserts c/w setting ring assembly. In addition to this, separate slips can be added to cater for dual string activity. A latch lock is installed along with the usual spring type latch to reduce the risk of the elevator opening under load.
HYC Type Casing Elevator
With a capacity of 200 tons, the HYC elevator is designed to handle tubing and casing from 3 ½” to 7”. Three sets of slips cover the entire range providing a full 10 ½” of insert contact for better grip and the elevator is also fitted with the latch lock combination for safety.
